PRESQUE TOUTES LES FLEURS

Confined within an isolated priory, JOAN, a young nun, strives to raise her prayers to the ears of God. A fellow nun flees the priory but is found, brought back and punished. Days later she takes her own life. 

Alone in the forest one night, Joan is assaulted by her confessor, the village priest.

Faced with a profound crisis of faith and identity, Joan conceives an audacious plan to flee the priory and never be found. What begins as a fight for survival becomes a spiritual odyssey.

Andrew Steggall trained as an actor at London’s Central School of Speech and Drama. Amongst other stage and screen appearances, he starred in Stephen Daldry’s AN INSPECTOR CALLS the West End. 


He later turned his attention to theatre directing with a production OVER GARDENS OUT at the Southwark Playhouse. Andrew also directed L’HISTOIRE DU SOLDAT by Stravinsky at the Old Vic with Jeremy Irons and the Philharmonia Orchestra and in a second production with actors and musicians from Baghdad in Iraq. This production was workshopped by Andrew in Baghdad during the American occupation and later in Kurdistan. He staged the operas, LA TRAGEDIE DE CARMEN in Ireland and London and THE LIGHTHOUSE by Sir Peter Maxwell Davies in Montepulciano, Italy. 

His films


In 2010, he turned to filmmaking. After four short films selected at around fifty festivals, he shot his first feature film DEPARTURE in Occitanie in English and French. It took part in over forty festivals around the world and won 7 awards. It was distributed in 2017 in France by Destiny Films.

With the help of the CNC, Andrew Steggall and co-writer Fadette Drouard developed the script for a feature film, L'IMPARFAIT, which is currently being produced in Paris by Tomsa Films.
